Add organic texture and quiet character to your home with this handwoven Chaguar basket, crafted in Northern Argentina by Wichí women using ancestral weaving techniques.
Each basket is woven entirely by hand from hand-spun chaguar thread, creating a finer, more intricate weave. Chaguar, a native bromeliad, is sustainably harvested from the wild and carefully processed by hand. After gathering the plant, the artisans soak the fibers, extract the strands, and hand-spin them into thread using ash before weaving each basket and finishing it with natural dyes.
The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects generations of craftsmanship. With its earthy tones, refined texture, and subtle variations, each basket brings timeless beauty and authentic artisan tradition to your home.
