Wichi Community
The Wichis inhabit a large region of native forest in northern Argentina. For countless generations, they’ve mastered the skills needed to weave the chaguar fiber and carve out palo santo wood from fallen trees, keeping their tradition and cultural heritage alive.
Loom Weavers
Whether it is in the textile workshop of my mother Virginia, in Buenos Aires, or in a small community in a remote rural area of Argentina, these women weave beautiful pieces inspired by their history, enviroment and multiculturalism.
Pilaga Community
In Formosa, Argentina, Pilagá women extract the leaves of the Carandillo plant, transforming it into beautiful objects. In women’s organizations, the best artisans teach the youngest the art of weaving, transmitting ancient knowledge.
Chane Community
In Chané culture, the Arete Ceremony is a sacred ritual of gratitude to ‘Mother Nature’. For this celebration, masks take center place as a representation of balance between man and nature. The masks are hand-carved and painted with natural pigments.
